Linda Bobinger

For Linda, art and life are one.  She uses humor and distortion in her figures to capture certain emotions that she wants to depict. Often sculpting can be an emotional/cathartic  process for her. But the process can also be a technical challenge such as: can she make two figures fit like a puzzle in a certain kiln, what happens if she makes a certain sculpture using coil technique or makes the same sculpture from a solid block of clay using additive subtractive method. What are the different visual effects she can get?

Her sculptures are modeled from stoneware clay fired to cone 6 or 2300 degrees. Surfaces are mostly varieties of natural oxides.
